Also called Anahata, or the Fourth Chakra, this Chakra is said to have twelve red or white petals, with the middle as a blue black color, symbolizing air. It is located in the center of the chest and is also related to the Thymus Chakra (classically considered a minor Chakra) and the Thymus gland. It is associated with passion, love, tenderness, and the ‘broken heart’ of the child and of romance.
POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES:
Fully activated, balanced, and evolved, The Heart Chakra provides the love of creation, such as the joy of nature. This Chakra is the center of our light body, and auric, or etheric self. As it sits between the three Chakras above and the three Chakras below, it is considered the gateway to higher consciousness and the complete human being. This Chakra is positively expressed in devotion and spiritual inspiration, and in the desire to share in the love and peace of infinite awareness.
SYMPTOMS:
Signs of a poorly functioning Heart Chakra can be heart disease, disturbed heart rhythm, muscular, valvular, aortic, and circulatory disease and infections. Underlying causes of heart disease are related to internal stress, anger, and frustration. Releasing emotional pain and finding love not only improves the function of this Chakra but can also reverse heart and circulatory problems.

VISUALIZATIONS AND EXERCISES TO AWAKEN AND BALANCE:
#1 USE AVENTURINE OR TOURMALINE TO BALANCE HEART ENERGIES
For this you need a large green cloth to lie down on. Make sure it is of natural fibers, and place on the floor. Place as many green aventurines and tourmalines in a circle around the edges of the cloth. Lie down with your head to the north and place another aventurine in the center of your chest, and if you have them -four quartz crystals on the four corners with the points facing toward your body. Relax and envision your heart open and flowing.
#2 COUPLE’S ROSE QUARTZ CRYSTAL AND ROSE OIL MASSAGE
Light a candle together (a pink candle is great) and with intention about your feelings for each other. This is best done without clothes as you will use rose oil. Anoint your partner’s seven chakras with a small quantity of oil on your finger. Proceed slowly, with sensitivity from the Crown Chakra to the Root Chakra, then to the feet. Massage the heart chakra with rose oil in a circular, clockwise motion. You can use the rose quartz to place on the heart or as a pendulum. Finish with the feet and then swap roles.
